ANNOUNCEMENT

School of Risk and Safety Sciences CLOSURE

It was announced on 11 December 2009 that the School of Risk and Safety Sciences will be disestablished (History of the School) at the University of New South Wales, from December 2010.

This change is in response to a realignment of strategic focus within the Faculty of Science. The Faculty of Science has committed to ensuring that there will be minimal impact on current coursework and research students. Every effort will be made to allow undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in existing programmes to complete their studies. Meanwhile, for new students, many of the programmes will be phased out or moved elsewhere in the University over the next 10 months. This will apply especially from Session 2 2010, and so student offers will be made on a conditional basis for the present.

For further information, please contact the School Office: Ph + 61 (0) 2 9385 4144, safety@unsw.edu.au.
