COURSE COSTS AND FEES

The UNSW Fees page has the most current details of course costs. The details and links below were current June 15th, 2006.

Students enrolling at UNSW will be liable for a number of costs associated with studying at the University.

Student contribution charges for students in Commonwealth supported places are calculated on the actual number of units of credit undertaken per semester in accordance with the student contribution band for the course. Students may be eligible for HECS-HELP assistance. More information about Commonwealth supported places and HECS-HELP can be found here.

Tuition fees for full fee paying local students and international students are calculated on the actual number of units of credit undertaken per semester.

More information about tuition fees and the tuition fee schedule can be found here.

Details of international student fees and costs can be found on the UNSW International website.

All students are charged Student Activity Fees, and in addition students may be liable for materials charges and, where rules are infringed, penalty fees.

Each semester the University sets specific deadlines for payment of fees. Information regarding the key dates for payment and payment procedures is available on the online fee statements issued each semester via myUNSW.

The University administers a number of scholarships and other forms of financial aid to support students, including interest-free loans for eligible students.

The Commonwealth Government of Australia also provides sources of financial support for eligible students.

For more information about tuition fees and Student Activity Fees refer to the UNSW Fee Policy for local students or international students.
