COURSE DETAILS

Undergraduate Core : Core course in BSc (3970 program) SHE major, elective course in all other majors
  
Postgraduate Core : Core Course Safety, Health, and Environment programs (Grad Cert, Grad Dip, and Masters in SHE)
  
Objectives : After completing this course, students should:
  • understand occupational health concepts and language sufficient to be able to communicate effectively with occupational health and safety professionals;
  • understand environmental management concepts and language sufficient to be able to communicate effectively with environmental management professionals;
  • develop an appreciation of the inter-relationships of workplace hazards and risks, health, and injury, disease and mortality;
  • analyse issues of safety, health and environment that are of relevance to the student's background or work experience.
