ACADEMIC PRIZES Each year the School of Risk and Safety Sciences awards prizes to reward exceptional academic performance by students enrolled in the School's postgraduate programs. Listed below are the prizes that can be won. Course Prizes School of Risk and Safety Sciences Law Prize Awarded for the best performance in SESC8031 Safety, Security, Health and Environmental Law by a student enrolled in a postgraduate program in the School of Risk and Safety Sciences. WorkCover NSW Prize Awarded for the best performance in SESC9211 Risk Management by a student enrolled in a postgraduate program in the School of Risk and Safety Sciences Whiteley Corporation Prize in Toxicology Awarded for the best performance in SESC9820 Chemical Safety and Toxicology by a student enrolled in a postgraduate program in the School of Risk and Safety Sciences. Whiteley Corporation Prize for Management of Dangerous Materials Awarded for the best performance in SESC9850 Management of Dangerous Materials by a student enrolled in a postgraduate program in the School of Risk and Safety Sciences Safety Institute of Australia (NSW Division) Bill Lessels' Memorial Prize for Master of Safety Science Awarded for the best overall performance by a graduating student in the Master of Safety Science. Safety Institute of Australia (NSW Division) Bill Lessels' Memorial Prize for Graduate Diploma in Safety Science Awarded for the best overall performance by a graduating student in the Graduate Diploma in Safety Science. Blackmores Ltd Prize for In Vitro Toxicology Laboratory Science Awarded for the best performance in a Chemical Safety and Applied Toxicology (CSAT) laboratory based course or project report on in-vitro toxicology by a student enrolled in a postgraduate program in School of Risk and Safety Sciences Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (NSW) Prize Awarded for the best overall performance in all prescribed Core courses by a graduating student in the Master of Science and Technology in Ergonomics or the Graduate Diploma in Ergonomics National Safety Council of Australia Prize in Occupational Health and Safety Awarded for the best performance by a graduating student in the Master of Science and Technology in Occupational Health and Safety The prizes listed above will be awarded only in the case of the winning student achieving a result of 75 DN or higher |
