PROGRAMS The Schools' Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses are professional courses which prepare individuals for a career as a risk manager or as a professional working in health and safety and the environment. The school is also a leader in the research of Human Factors and Ergonomics, Risk Management and Chemical Safety and Toxicology. Undergraduate Degrees The School offers Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree program with a majors in Safety Science or Toxicology. Honours Degree Students who have completed a 3 year degree with a credit or better average can apply to do a 4th Year Honours program in Safety Science. This is open to students from other schools at UNSW and other universities. Postgraduate Coursework Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, and Masters courses are available full- or part-time and in face-to-face or distance delivery modes in the following disciplines: Postgraduate Research Students can enrol in the School to do an MSc, an MPhil, or a PhD in any of the disciplines in which the School conducts research, including Risk Management, Biomechanics and Ergonomics, Chemical Safety and Toxicology, and Disaster and Emergencies. Practicum Student Programs The University and the School also offer two to six month professional practicum programs designed for students from overseas universities who wish to come to UNSW to obtain research experience or professional/industrial practice.
