The seminar, hosted by the Injury Risk Management Research Centre (IRMRC), will consider an historical review of the road trauma problem and to the responses to this problem tracing the developments of road safety towards the Australian adoption of Safe System principles. The seminar will explore the "Integration of public health with road safety" The commonalities of approaching road safety as a public health problem, (an epidemic on wheels) will be presented. Then the problems in translating road safety evidence into action will be discussed as a universal problem.
