RISK MANAGEMENT

The school is interested in the application of risk management processes and qualitative and quantitative risk analysis techniques applied over a range of different areas.

A developing interest is the incorporation of human factors and decision making into the way in which technical risks are assessed and decisions are made.

OHS Management
OHS legislation establishes duties and responsibilities without necessarily specifying compliance. OHS management research in the School of Safety Science is investigating the elements of OHS management, identifying better ways of hazard profiling and controlling risks, and exploring ways in which OHS management processes can be assessed for effectiveness.
